About this object
View of Clive Square looking towards Napier Hill taken in the vicinity of the Dickens Street and Clive Square East entrance to the park. The centre of the photograph is occupied by the band rotunda, around which a circle of park benches is located. The park is enclosed by a picket fence. In front of the band rotunda, a group of unidentified children pose for the camera. Behind Clive Square is Main School. In the distance, several large homesteads are visible on the top of Napier Hill.
