Brief Description
a) A luggage tag from the Hotel Stewart in San Francisco. Part of the tag has been ripped off and is missing and the text on both sides is therefore not fully present. The front of the tag reads: Bestall, Napier. The reverse reads: 11840, L D Bestall, Church Army, 2 NZEF.
b) A plain, unaddressed, New Zealand Expeditionary Force envelope. The top of the envelope is labelled: On Active Service. The luggage tag was found inside this envelope.
