View of the Gore Brown Barracks from Havelock Road. The cottage in the foreground is thought to have belonged to the Rochfort family. The house is of timber construction, with weatherboard cladding on the walls and shingles on the roof. The property is fenced and gardens have been planted around the house. A young boy poses in front of the property. Further houses are visible on the hill in the distance.
