This photograph depicts Dr Moore's Private Hospital on Marine Parade in Napier after the Hawke's Bay earthquake on the 3rd of February 1931.
The earthquake caused the building to be left standing, but on a tilted angle and there are cracks in the exterior, both visible in the photograph. Further damage can not be seen from this angle.
