A view of Port Ahuriri from Hospital Hill in the 1880s or 1890s. Both the North and South Pond are visible above the tree line of the hill. The North British Freezing Works and private wharf are visible on the Western Spit at the top left of the image. Ships moored along Nelson Quay are visible in the middle of the image.
