About this object
View of Hastings Street looking north. On the extreme left of the image stands the Union Bank of Australia. On the opposite side of the intersection of Hastings Street and Emerson Street is the Criterion Hotel (proprietor, Horace Ford), which opened on this site in March 1874. In the distance, the Clarendon Hotel on Shakespeare Road is visible.
