About this object
This photograph depicts the Public Trust Building located on Tennyson Street, Napier, after the Hawke's Bay earthquake on the 3rd of February 1931.

This was one of the few buildings that withstood the quake and the fires that followed and devastated Napier central, as can be seen in the surrounds of the building.

The photograph is attributed to Frank Moodie.
