About this object
View of the east side of Hastings Street taken in the late 1800s. On the extreme left of the photograph stand the premises of draper and clothier Neal and Close. Other businesses visible along the street include John McVay (saddler and harness maker), T Morrison (clockmaker and jeweller) and a photography studio. Two horse drawn carts are parked along Hasting Street.
