About this object
This photograph depicts St Paul's Presbyterian Church on Dalton Street after the Hawke's Bay earthquake on the 3rd of February 1931. The church was only just finished when the earthquake struck. It was the fires that followed which devastated much of the building.
Bluff Hill can be seen in the background of the photograph.
