A general view photograph of Ahuriri and Western Spit. The photograph is possibly taken from Lighthouse Reserve, Bluff Hill.

The North British Freezing Works are visible at the end of the Western Spit with its private wharf jutting out into the bay. A ship is visible in the bay.
