About this object
This photograph depicts the remains of the Hawke's Bay Education Board Office on Browning Street.
The building in the right of the frame is the Napier Telephone Exchange on Browning Street. Next to this, out of frame would be the Old Post Office which sat at the corner of Browning and Hastings Streets.
It is noted on the back of the photograph as being the Cathedral parking.
Cars have been destroyed from falling buildings in the earthquake and fires that followed.
