About this object
This photograph depicts the view looking south at the intersection of Hastings Street and Browning Street, Napier. It has been taken from an elevated view in Shakespeare Road. The buildings in the photograph were damaged and some completely destroyed after the Hawke's Bay earthquake on 3 February 1931 and the fires that followed. The Hannah's building is visible on the extreme left.
