About this object
This photograph depicts a street view of central Napier after the Hawke's Bay earthquake on the 3rd of February 1931.
One of the Norfolk Pines that line Marine Parade can be seen in the background of the photograph, behind one of the many destroyed buildings. This could possibly depict Hastings Street, as it runs parallel with Marine Parade.
