About this object
An image of British Army Regulars in their 1856 pattern red tunic uniform standing within the grounds near the open gate of the Napier Military Barracks. The soldiers are standing at the centre, the building is situated to the right and the gates and shrubs to the left. The photograph was taken sometime during the New Zealand Wars. The men may be part of the Eighteenth Royal Irish Regiment.
