About this object
View of a small timber cottage in Dickens Street that is thought to have been taken in 1876. The cottage is of timber construction. The walls are clad in timber weatherboards while the gable roof above is clad with shingles. The front façade of the house features a door and two sash windows. Three children stand in front of the cottage. Cottages in the same style are located on either side. All three properties feature a post and rail fence that separates them from the road. The cottages are thought to have been located on the south side of Dickens Street near its intersection with Dalton Street.
