About this object
A photograph of the Napier Post Office on the corner of Dickens and Hastings Streets. Damage including broken windows and blackened exterior caused by the Hawke's Bay earthquake on 3 February 1931 and the fires that followed can be seen in this image. Note that the clock stopped when the earthquake occurred.
