View of Coote Road taken from Napier Hill around the 1860s or 1870s, possibly looking out to sea. The road leading off Coote Road to the left is possibly Thompson Road. A number of residential dwellings can be seen occupying the hills in the foreground. Fences demarcate the individual sections.
