A copy of a letter dated 8 April 1932 from the Secretary of the Public Trust Office to the Managing Secretary, Napier Hospital, Napier. The letter makes reference to a letter placed before the committee regarding John Foster and advises that the committee does not wish to earmark a sum of money due to his age and nature of his injury. It suggests that he be returned to Napier and that communication be reinstated regarding the cost of his maintenance in Napier Hospital.

A letter dated 4 April 1932 from E T Rees, Managing Secretary, Napier Hospital, to the Secretary of the Earthquake Relief Committee, Public Trust Office, Napier. The letter is regarding a ruling by the Department of Health about the liability of the Board for patients in other institutions. It refers to an overpayment and refund of funds and states that there will be no further liability on the committee with regard to Mrs C Leaning and G Gordon.
