About this object
View of Napier Hill taken in the vicinity of the military barracks looking towards Napier Harbour. The piece of road that is visible in the photograph could be either present day Hospital Lane or Goldsmith Road but was known as Spencer Road in 1865. The piece of land beyond the road could be what was known as Battery Reserve.
