Portrait of a group of men posed in formal dress. The photograph was taken for the Jubilee of the Hawke's Bay Mounted Colonial Defence Force, 1863 - 1913. Standing in the back row, from left to right, are: W Stock, Jeffares, George Rymer, unknown, Charles Henry Alley, W Y Dennett, and Henry George Bristow. Seated in the front row, from left to right, are: W Slater, Wright, Colonel Porter, J D Ormond, J V Brown, Shirley, and D Cotton.
Behind the men a British flag (Union Jack) is fluttering in the breeze. The photograph was taken at Ōmarunui, Hawke's Bay in 1913.
