About this object
View down Browning Street looking away from Marine Parade. A parade progresses down the street towards the camera. Among the groups featured in the parade are two men on horseback who are dressed in feather cloaks; a large waka full of men being carried on a horse drawn cart; a group of women walking on foot; and a horse drawn carriage pulling a float. People line the street to watch the parade. The premises of Eames, Rundle and Company (The Popular Auction Mart), Lockyers, R Hannah and Company - advertising "Hannah's for Gumboots" - and the Colonial Bank are visible along the left side of the street. St John's Cathedral can be seen in the distance.
