About this object
View of Ruakituri River taken from the river bank. There are views across to the opposite side of the river further upstream and of scrub above the bank. Farmland and hills are visible in the distance. The Ruakituri River was the site of a battle on 8 August 1868. This battle was part of Te Kooti's initial campaign in the New Zealand Wars.
