Plan of proposals for extension & improvement of the Napier Harbour.
Ten chains to the inch.
Shows the area around the railway marshalling yards at Ahuriri, the embankment road to Westshore and Petane, the entrance channel the inner harbour. Seven wharves are noted parallel to the embankment road. The proposed harbour next to West Quay is noted as being dredged to 33 feet at low water and a berthage of 3,300 feet in length.
The North pond - 38 acres, South pond - 23 acres are to be reclaimed, which lay next to Battery Road.
