Brief Description
Folder with the title: Registration Officer, Earthquake Relief Records Napier. List of Persons on Wellington Records as not having Returned. There is a two page memorandum from The New Zealand Branch of the British Red Cross, dated 20 April 1931. The first page has a list of amendments. The second page explains that the list was compiled with the assistance of the Railway Department, who along with the Red Cross issued tickets, but that people may have returned without notifying the Red Cross. The next seventy nine pages list refugees as shown on Red Cross record cards being in Wellington on 31 March 1931. The list includes names of adults and children, old address in Napier and present address in Wellington.
