Land lots and area sizes are shown subdivided into 23 lots with frontages to Queen Street and Karamu Road, which is around Heretaunga Street and Station Street area. The Union Bank of Australia is situated on the corner of Heretaunga Street and Karamu Road. The Grand Hotel fronts Heretaunga Street and the Hastings Post Office is on the corner of Station street & Queen street, with W J Stratton next door. Three photographs are inset showing views of Queen Street and Karamu Road. The Carlton Club Hotel is on the opposite corner to the Union Bank of Australia.
