The lands are to be sold at auction on Saturday October 23,1909. C B Hoadley & son with Murray Roberts, auctioneers have been instructed by Henry Gaisford to sell the Raupare property, formerly known as Sir William Russell's Flaxmere Estate.

Land lots and area sizes are situated 2 1/2 miles from the Hastings railway station, near the Frimley fruit canning works. The land is to be subdivided into 83 allotments around the area bordering the Ngaruroro River and the Fernhill to Hastings road. A H Russell has land bordering lots to the South West and Sir William Russell has land at the South East end. The river is at the North end. The Hon J D Ormond has land further south, bordering the Hastings to Fernhill road.
