About this object
The photograph of the Municipal Theatre Napier shows the exterior with three men, a child and a dog standing outside the front.

On the top of the building is written Napier Municipal Theatre, 1911.

The photograph is glued to card and at the bottom is a label which reads: The Municipal Theatre, Napier, opened 12 November 1912. Architect - Hon. William Pitt of Melbourne. This shows Tennyson Street frontage with trees in Tiffen Park visible behind, and Dr T C Moore's residence adjoining a lane at the left.

The photographer is possibly Percy Sorrell as photograph number 3368, which is part of this series has Percy Sorrell written on the back of the image.
