Brief Description
A map of the Hawke's Bay coastline from the mouth of the Mohaka river to the Waimata river. The map includes a small inset map showing the coastline from the Mohaka river to the Mahia peninsula. This map was traced by J D H Buchanan on 29 May 1948 from a map in the Kinsey Collection at the Alexander Turnbull Library. J D H Buchanan has also noted that the original map was attached to a covering letter dated 22 August 1879 from Horace Baker, Chief Surveyor, District Survey Office, Napier, to the Surveyor General, Wellington.
