Brief Description
Two maps of the Ohiti-Ōmāhu District compiled and drawn by J D H Buchanan, March 1948. This detailed map includes place names, roads, rivers, streams and the location of pā, cultivations, eel-weirs, Kainga settlements, canoe landings and burial grounds. Māori land blocks are also marked on the map: Ōmāhu, Heretaunga, Te Awa A Te Atua, Ngatarawa Number 4, Ngatarawa Number 2, Ngatarawa Number 1 and Ohiti-Waitio. A key and reference sources are listed at the bottom of the map.
