Brief Description
Two ration books from World War II issued by the Rationing Office of New Zealand. Both books are dated Napier, October 1947 and Taupo, 20 October 1948.
a) Issued to Irma Bestall of Lighthouse Road, Napier.
b) Issued to Leo D Bestall of Lighthouse Road Napier. Also has a few special Y coupons.
For both, the butter retailer has been stamped with Shearer's Limited on Kennedy Road, Napier. They contain coupons for butter, tea, sugar, and meat. The inside of the back cover is a coupon calendar explaining when each numbered coupon could be used. Some coupons have been crossed out and others have been cut out.
