Plan of the Whakaki Estate land for sale.
Being the property of John Hunter Brown Esq, Wairoa County, Hawke's Bay.
The land lots are to be sold by private sale in January or February, 1893. The freehold land of 12,761 acres is in six blocks, being part of the Whakaki Estate. Baker & Tabuteau are to be the auctioneers. The property lies 45 miles North of the port of Napier and 4 miles from the township of Clyde, now known as Wairoa.
Land lots, area sizes, rivers, bush areas are shown around Whakaki Lagoon, the main road from Clyde and the Rotoparu Stream. The area around the Tuhara block is noted as being 613 feet above sea level. Professor Wallace who is professor of agriculture and rural economy in the university of Edinburgh and author of - India in 1887 - Farm and Livestock of Great Britain, and his latest book - The rural economy and agriculture of Australia and New Zealand, gives an account of the estate:

A locality map is included showing the area to be between Mahia and Clyde.
