Two copies and draft of minutes, meeting of property owners held at the Council Chambers, dated 17 February 1931: motion proposed by Mr Higgins, seconded by Mr Peach and Mayor, that Government to clear damaged area and charge to owner. Motion proposed by Mr Morse seconded by Mr Peach that Relief Committee prepare a town planning scheme. Motion proposed by Mr Morse seconded by Mr Peach that suitable temporary sites be found for retailers.
