The land is to be sold by public auction on Wednesday December 13, 1899. C B Hoadley & Co - auctioneers, have been instructed by R L Colenso Esq to sell.

Land lots consisting 30 acres in extent, subdivided into 56 allotments are situated around Colenso Avenue, Hooker Avenue, Faraday Street and May Avenue. R D D Maclean has property opposite land lots for sale, adjoining Colenso Avenue. P Gleeson's name appears in ink on lots 23 to 28, having paid £200. E Pallett paid £160 for lot 48, on May Avenue. The Hawke's Bay Education Board paid £150 for lot 108, on Milton Road - next to the district school which is on the corner of Milton Road and Tennyson Street.
