The land is to be held at public auction on the 4 September 1879 at the Criterion Hote, Napier. M R Miller is to be the auctioneer.
Land lots with area sizes and boundary lines are shown around the Agricultural & Pastoral Society show grounds, the old Ngaruroro River bed, Riverslea Road and the Hasting to Pakipaki road. James M Williams Esq has adjoining property at the North West side, Thomas Tanner Esq has property adjoining Riverslea Road. Attached newspaper clipping notes the purchasers of the land:
Bishop Redwood - Lot 1 £100 per acre.
Dr Hitchings - Lot 75, 76 £25 per acre.
E W Knowles - Lot 31 to 34 £34 per acre .
