About this object
Woodblock print of pink and red blossoms. There is a red name seal stamp and writing in Chinese characters down the right side of the print which reads:
一笑牡丹稱富貴 那知無福見梅花
白石並題
They saw that it is the tree peony that connotes wealth and honour; who was to know that without wealth I may nonetheless admire the flowering apricot.
