Brief Description
A permit book produced by the Earthquake Relief Organisation containing permits and copies.
The permits are for travel from Hawera or Palmerston North to Napier and Hastings. The permits list the name and number of persons travelling, travel details and some list occupation and repatriation address. The permits are signed for and on behalf of the Napier Citizens' Control Committee.
The permit book is numbered 5351-5400 but finishes at 5374. Permits 5351 to 5362 have been issued. One permit is cancelled. Some permits have date stamps.
Permit holders are: Mr H Ford, Miss McKay, Mrs Ansell, Mrs Veitch, Mrs Vaughan, Mr W S Patmore, Mrs Vance, Miss Ellice May Milne, Mr J surname possibly Quinlivan, Mrs L Wallace and Mrs and Miss Raven.
