Brief Description
Plan of part of the township of Wanstead showing land sections for sale.
Land to be offered at auction at Napier on Thursday and Friday March 28, 29 1878. Joseph J Tye is the auctioneer. Two chains to the inch.
The land for sale is situated around King Street, Regent Street, Mangaongaonga Creek and Duke Street. Arlington Estate was owned by Captain Newman and the auction was attended by large numbers of bidders. The total value of the land sections sold was £1,214.
A list of purchasers accompanies the plan:
J G Kinross - 13 acres at £13 per care.
H Montieth bought several lots, as did C B Hoadley.
