Brief Description
A typewritten letter from the secretary of the Earthquake Relief committee to the Food Controller at Artillery Drill Hall in Kennedy Road, Napier. Dated 27 February 1931.

The letter is regarding a consignment of 50 cases of fancy pink salmon, each containing 4 dozen tins sent as a donation from British Columbia Packers in Vancouver, Canada. The writer lists the documents which have been included with the consignment and requests notification of receipt of the goods in order to acknowledge the donation. One document relates to the SS Wainui.

The signature of the secretary is indecipherable. The letter has two stamps indicating the receipt and reply dates of the letter. One is dated 28 February, 1931 and the other is March 1931.
