Brief Description
A two page letter to the director of transport at Shortlands building in Napier from the chairman of the Napier Citizens' Control Committee, W Harvey.

The letter on Napier Citizens' Control Committee letterhead, is dated 25 February, 1931 and is regarding accounts to be prepared and despatched to firms, departments and individuals, in order to reconcile the liabilities of the committee and recover payments for services rendered. The letter provides instructions on how payment for the accounts should be made and how the invoices and accounts are to be checked and certified.

The chairman issues instructions regarding the closure of the depot and advises that the committee proposes to use private enterprise for future transport. A request is made for a list of all vehicles under their control and services engaged in by them. The chairman writes that a new and distinctive label is planned for identification of all vehicles properly authorised by the Transport Department.
