To be sold at public auction on Wednesday October 4, 1893 - Baker & Tabuteau are to be the auctioneers. The land for sale ranges from 3 to 50 acres, situated around the main road from Taradale to Hastings, the main road from Hastings to Meeanee & Napier.
H lansdown and J gilligan own adjoining land to the North and R S McAuley's property is at the West side. D McKay has land to the East.
The Pakowhai Estate is located at the South end. A locality map is included showing the area to be close to the Tutaekuri River and the Tutaekuri - Waimate.
