The account is for a cartage job on 20 February and is to R S Dykes's account. The account requests prompt payment by cheque, to be forwarded to Tiffen House. The account is shown as paid, date stamped and initialled on 13 May 1931.

An account dated 30 April 1931, addressed to Messrs Collett and Sons in Dannevirke, debtors to the Napier Relief Committee Transport Department. A letter dated 28 March 1931, addressed to the secretary of the Earthquake Relief committee. The letter is from Harney at the Lands & Deeds Office in Christchurch and is querying an enclosed account. The writer states that he does not know Mr Presling and refers the committee to F G Smith & Company of Napier. Following the earthquake the writer was transferred to the Lands and Deeds office in Christchurch and states that they are paying all expenses. The letter has a Napier Relief Committee date stamp dated 30 March 1931; a date stamp dated 2 April, 1931, an F G Smith & Company Limited stamp and a stamped and handwritten cheque number.

With the letter is an account dated 12 March 1931, addressed to Harney, a debtor to the Earthquake Relief Committee Transport Department. Harney's name has been crossed out and replaced by an F G Smith and Company Limited stamp. The account is for lorry hire for furniture removal and is to H Presling's account. Payment is requested to be made to the Public Trustee at Tiffen Park House. A stamped and handwritten cheque number and a date stamp are at the bottom of the account.
