Brief Description
Plan of subdivisions of Mangapapa No 8 land block.
Being an extension of Gisborne North.
Land lots are to be sold by public auction, January 9, 1888 - Graham, Pitt and Bennett are to be the Auctioneers.
Shows land lots, area sizes around the main county road to Gisborne and the road from Te Hapara to Gisborne. Crawford's Brewery is noted near the Taruheru River, a short distance from the hospital. The Mangapapa Stream flows through most of the land lots for sale.
Mr M J Gannon's property borders the Mangapapa Stream and the Taruheru Stream. A quarry is noted North East of the land lots and it is noted that the stone here is superior to Oamaru stone for building purposes.
A locality plan shows the area to be North East of Gisborne.
