Land lots are to be sold by public at the Hawke's Bay Wool Stores, Napier on Wednesday October 15, 1884 - C B Hoadley & Co are to be the Auctioneers.
Five major land lots ranging from 1,125 acres to 2,500 acres are located around Rissington Estate to the West, Samuel Spence Esq's property to the East and the Rakaumoana Estate to the North.
The blocks have been named thus:
Glenshee - 2,570 acres.
Peninsula - 1,900 acres.
Hilston - 1,170 acres.
Ridge - 1,800 acres.
Glengarrie - 1,125 acres.
Tiokapu Creek runs through the Ridge block, Glenshee Creek runs through Glenshee block. The homestead is noted on Glengarrie, some 60 chains from the Mangahina River. The proposed new road from Napier to Taupo is noted running parallel to the Mangakopikopiko Stream and through the Hilston block.
