Brief Description
A typewritten letter on Hawke's Bay Education Board letterhead dated 27 March 1931. The letter is from the secretary of the Hawke's Bay Education Board and is in reply to a letter on 23 March 1931 from the secretary of the Earthquake Relief Committee at Tiffen Park, Napier.

The subject of the letter is transport department contra accounts. The letter advises that Miss Bowie was not employed by the Hawke's Bay Education Board and that she is an officer of the Education Department. The author suggested that the committee take up the matter of her debit with the Director of Education in Wellington. The author also writes that they would be glad to receive the Transport Department's account for J Eddy.

The signature of the author is indecipherable, surname possibly Dunn. There is an Napier Relief Committee date stamp and an annotation regarding the debt at the bottom left of the letter. One sentence of the letter is underlined in pencil and two monetary amounts are pencilled at left.
