Marine Parade showing the colonnade with glass in it. The beach front has barbed wire stretched along it to act as a prevention against enemy attack during World War II. The sailor on the right hand side adds to the interest of the photograph.

The exact date the photograph was taken is unknown, however it would have been sometime between 1940 and 1945.
