Brief Description
A typewritten letter on Stephenson Trading Company Limited letterhead paper to the secretary of the Napier Earthquake Control Committee from the managing director of the Stephenson Trading Company Limited, L Stephenson, advising that they are enclosing a statement of goods supplied to date. Dated 24 February 1931.
The letter states that in order to carry on business, it is essential that Stephenson's receive cash promptly and suggests that at least seventy-five percent of the amount requested be paid with the balance paid when the account has been checked. The letter is signed by L Stephenson.
At the top of the letter is a Public Trust Office Napier stamp dated 25 February 1931 and on the back is a totalled list of figures and an inscription and an indecipherable signature which states that the account is to be checked up.
