Brief Description
Typed invoices on printed forms from wholesale merchants, the Stephenson Trading Company Limited, to the Napier Food Control Committee, for the supply of provisions. The invoices are dated 4, 5, 8, 9, and 16 February 1931.

Each invoice lists the goods supplied, the cost, to whom or where the goods were supplied and the terms and conditions of payment. All invoices are stamped and initialled as correct with the goods having been received. The invoices are numbered 3601/2, 3604, 3605, 3606, 3607, 3608 and 3609 and 3610. Some invoices include both signed requisition forms and delivery notes for the receipt of goods, and some have either a requisition form or a delivery note attached.

Invoice 3601/2 is two pages and has two requisition forms numbered 994 and 995 on Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board printed forms. Some requisitions are written on scraps of paper. Delivery notes or receipts are addressed to New Zealand Railways. The names of those in receipt of provisions are: Hawke's Bay Steam Laundry; Lieutenant Lawson of HMS Diomede; Mr Munro at the Nelson Park Aid station; Car number 541, J H Murdoch and the Chemist Dressing Station. Some invoices do not list to whom the goods are supplied.
