Brief Description
Seven typed invoices on printed forms from wholesale merchants Stephenson Trading Company Limited to the Napier Food Control Committee for the supply of provisions. The invoices are dated 7, 8 and 16 February 1931.
Each invoice lists the goods supplied, the cost, to whom or where the goods were supplied and the terms and conditions of payment. Some invoices include both signed requisition forms and delivery notes for the receipt of goods, and some have either a requisition form or a delivery note attached. All invoices are stamped and initialled as correct with the goods having been received.
The invoices are numbered 3583, 3584, 3585, 3586, 3589, 3596, and 3599 and list the goods as being delivered to the Terminus Hotel with the charge made to P and T, Nelson Park Camp, H B S Laundry with the charge made to the Health Department, Hawke's Bay Power Board, Mr Lindsay at the Council Chambers Mess, Mr Girling Butcher at Herschell Street and a delivery which was taken by Angus' lorry directly from the port.
Two of the requisition forms are on New Zealand Railways form RB17 and one is on a Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board form numbered 970. Five of the delivery notes are addressed to New Zealand Railways and one is addressed to the Stephenson Trading Company and is from H E Edgley. Signatures featured on the various forms are J P Swain, J Weston and L Stephenson.
