Brief Description
New Zealand Crafts Magazine published by the Crafts Council, May 1982 price $3.50.

This magazine is incomplete. This is a reprint of the pages relevant to the owner, James Walker who edited this edition. The articles include New Zealand Glass Art, written by James Mack which includes illustrations of glass art by John Croucher, Mel Simpson, Garry Nash and Dick Maquis.

The next article is called the International Context of New Zealand Glass Art, written by Robert Bell and illustrated by an image of a triple glazed glass panel by Roger Nachman;

This is followed by an article reporting on the third national conference of the New Zealand Society of Artists in Glass (NZSAG) written by Peter Viesnik, Treasurer, NZSAG; Conference comments by Tony Kuepfer.

On pages 9 - David Clegg has written An Increased Perspective: Ten Days with Johannes Schreiter illustrated with two modern church stained glass windows from Germany and a photograph of Johannes Schreiter and his wife.

On page 12 is a review of the Exhibition Studio Glass 83 held at the Auckland War Memorial Museum March 19 to April 5, 1983. Glass artist who contributed include: John Abbott, Holly Sanford, John Croucher, Jo Schroff, Roger Pemberton, Mel Simpson and Garry Nash.

The inside back page is an information sheet promoting a Crafts Council Resource Centre of photographs used as a visual resource by the staff of the Crafts Council, researchers and by intending commissioners of craft.
