Plan of Napier Inner Harbour - Harbour Board. 1919.
Proposed inner harbour extension and reclamation areas.
Inner harbour scheme recommended by Keele & Cullen, Engineers, adopted by the harbour board, 1912. Mr Jull chairman of the board.
Shows areas to be dredged to a uniform depth, areas to be reclaimed, works to be commenced first and future works to complete the scheme.
Noted is the area from Ahuriri, Scinde Island, Napier South, Maraenui Road.
Depth soundings are noted around the inner harbour entrance and the first area to be dredged is shown to give 34 feet depth.
A cross section of the channel and moles and a typical section of West Quay is shown.
Thornton's boat shed is noted near Georges Drive and the telegraph and signal station - 160 feet above sea level is noted on Scinde Island.
